head of finance
Responsibility
- preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting
- annual budget preparation and forecasting
- statutory CIS returns, PAYE/NICE and ONS
- lead cashflow management to support operational requirements and strategic investments
- preparation of board reports
- review of quarterly VAT returns which are created and submitted by outsourced accountant
- annual Statutory Audit
- monthly payroll including timesheets, expenses, compiling all information onto a spreadsheet and issuing to outsourced accountant for verifying and issuing all payslips
Requirements
- AAT/ACCA Qualified
- self-starter highly motivated and commitment to the role
- excellent organisation and time management skills
- experience managing a small finance team
- outstanding communication skills with the ability to interact with the Board and Investors
- current or previous roles working at Head of Finance level, Financial Controller or as a Senior Finance Manager
- diligence and accuracy, with the ability to meet deadlines
- experience with Sage Accounts 50, Sage Payroll Professional, Sage HR, Microsoft products, CRM software
