Responsibility
- monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition following surgery
- advise on medications and help patient to manage their pain relief as prescribed by the medical team
- advise on wound care to ensure proper healing of surgical sites
- educate patients and their families about post-operative care, including recovery expectations and potential complications
- collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- document all patient interactions, observations, and changes in condition accurately in medical records
- assist with any necessary follow-up appointments or referrals for further care
Requirements
- registered Nurse qualification with a valid nursing licence
- proven experience in a post-operative or surgical nursing role is preferred
- experience in cosmetic surgery care desirable
- strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively assess patient conditions
- excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams effectively
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on empathy and support
- flexibility to work various shifts as required by the healthcare facility
