Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred but not essential
  • proven track record of driving revenue growth through new business development and expansion of existing relationships
  • strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • experience leading and managing a team, to achieve results
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on results and a sense of urgency
  • knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in business development and sales
  • strong negotiation and presentation skills

Responsibility

  • identify new business opportunities for in the logistics and transport sector and develop strategies to capitalize on them
  • build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure the ongoing success of our business
  • lead the development and execution of proposals, presentations, and other sales materials to secure new business opportunities
  • work closely with the marketing manager to create effective campaigns and messaging that align with the company's brand and value proposition
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations to ensure successful implementation of new business wins
  • monitor and analyse industry trends and competitive activity to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust the business development strategy accordingly
  • reporting to the Commercial Director to develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives
  • provide regular updates and reports to Directors on business development activities, results, and progress toward goals
