Requirements
bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred but not essential
proven track record of driving revenue growth through new business development and expansion of existing relationships
strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders
experience leading and managing a team, to achieve results
ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on results and a sense of urgency
knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in business development and sales
strong negotiation and presentation skills
Responsibility
identify new business opportunities for in the logistics and transport sector and develop strategies to capitalize on them
build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure the ongoing success of our business
lead the development and execution of proposals, presentations, and other sales materials to secure new business opportunities
work closely with the marketing manager to create effective campaigns and messaging that align with the company's brand and value proposition
collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations to ensure successful implementation of new business wins
monitor and analyse industry trends and competitive activity to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust the business development strategy accordingly
reporting to the Commercial Director to develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives
provide regular updates and reports to Directors on business development activities, results, and progress toward goals
