Responsibility
- review and Restructure existing accounting practices in line with best practice
- managing the accounting function including line management of a bookkeeper
- ensure accuracy and compliance by monitoring and reconciling general ledger accounts
- manage an efficient and accurate payroll and pension process
- interdepartmental cooperation with our sales, purchasing and business development teams to develop and ensure an accurate cost management and accounting function
- manage company accounts within the finance module of IQMS, our ERP system
- maintain monthly prepayments and accrual schedules, contributing to smooth month-end and year-end closing processes, including VAT and other regulatory submissions
- stay updated with industry standards, trends, and regulations, ensuring sustained compliance
Requirements
- experience working with ERP software and knowledge of SAGE Payroll
- management experience would be beneficial
- part qualified accountant within a recognised awarding body . AAT Accounting L4 or qualification by experience would be strongly considered
- 3+ Years industry experience in an accountancy position, ideally in the manufacturing sector
- management: 3 years
