finance officer
Responsibility
- you will provide a full range of bookkeeping and financial services
- management of the Finance Team
- oversee a range of Support Services within the Company to assist Departmental Managers in the delivery of their roles

- receive all sales and purchase invoices and ensure they are appropriately authorised
- process weekly payments of all authorised purchase invoices and expense claims by BACS
- quarterly VAT processing and preparation of VAT returns
- bank and cash management, including reconciliation of all bank accounts and credit cards
- process payroll and PAYE payments
- you will work closely with Chief Office, our Accountants and Auditors to ensure that these services are provided in a timely and efficient manner and are resourced adequately from within the finance department
- forecasting and managing the cash flow
- credit control and dealing with purchase ledger enquiries
- preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts and reports
- external Communications : Auditors, bank, insurers, accountants
- assist in the production of timely reports , and produce other ad hoc reports as required
- liaise with external agencies including the bankers, insurers and auditors
- develop financial information capture and processing systems in line with the changing needs of the artist/organisation
- you will support the Chief Officer in overseeing all aspects of the company’s bookkeeping, income & expenditure, making payments, reconciling bank accounts, payroll, preparation of year end accounts and liaising with departmental managers
- develop and monitor internal financial controls
- assist in any other relevant work as directed from time to time
- carry out all responsibilities within the philosophy and policies of our company
Requirements
- at least 2 years relevant book keeping and financial management experience
- relevant qualifications
- strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present clear finance reports
