Responsibility
work closely with the board of directors providing support where required and ensuring the charity runs effectively and efficiently
line manage staff employed by Soirbheas
oversee service agreements and partnerships including Care at Home, Befriending and community transport
provide reports to funders and the board on the progress of the charities work, grant distributions and Soirbheas’ projects
develop and deliver the business plan and other strategic and governing policies
searching sources of funding and making funding applications
provide support to the key community organisations to allow them to achieve their goals; priority will be given to those that also meet the aims of the charity. Including securing funding, caring out due diligence and research when appropriate
advise and support the board of Soirbheas to oversee the management and distribution of the funds received by Soirbheas including the 4 grant programmes
Requirements
education to Degree Level or equivalent experience gained. Good written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
experienced in managing community benefit funds
minimum of 2 years experience of community development or project management in a rural context
accounting or Bookkeeping skills
experienced in managing a grant programme
degree or Masters in Community Development or Sustainable Rural Development
experienced in securing large-scale and capital funding
understanding of charity law
