Responsibility
- responsible for planning and delivering GCSE and Functional Skiills Maths lessons
- responsible for marking, assessing and tracking progress – reporting data to the Head of Education
- responsible for differentiating work appropriately and taking SEN learners into account
- promoting a positive and purposeful engagement in Maths and the benefits of this to the working world
- develop and maintain professional relationships with young people between the ages of 16-25
- provide an emotionally safe and non-judgmental environment for the young person to continue their learning journey
- report any safeguarding concerns to the designated safeguarding leads at SOFEA
- required to help out with other duties such as supporting our students during their employability sessions in the warehouse
Requirements
- qualified teacher with valid QTS
- excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written
- warm, friendly, compassionate, patient
- able to uphold professional boundaries when working with young people
- open to emotional growth and professional development alongside the SOFEA culture
- experience in working as part of a multiagency team, working together to achieve positive outcomes for young people and establishing links to further the aims of the project
