Responsibility
- we are looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to work with an 11 year old girl with an acquired brain injury
- the young girl enjoys accessing a variety of different activities throughout her day, yet requires gentle encouragement to do so
- the role will involve working alongside a second support worker to support the young girl with all her activities throughout the day
- activities will include a range of educational and life skills based activities in the home, and community to support her access to meaningful activities and community based rehabilitation
- confidence in supporting children with behaviours that challenge and adopting a caring and calm nature is also essential
- administrative duties are an essential part of the job role which require both written and verbal communication
- A large part of the role will be working in the family home and engaging with the rest of the family, including doing joint activities with the young girl and her younger sister and a variety of family activities
- this role will require you to be flexible and patient in your approach to supporting her as she may change her mind during the day, and needs support to continue to access daily activities
