Responsibility
- build, mentor, and manage York based accounting team of 3-4 team members
- review of fixed asset additions and disposals including maintaining appropriate depreciation schedules within a fixed asset system
- manage/review inventory related financial close schedules including finished goods, raw materials, capitalized overhead, inventory in transit and inventory reserves
- prepare monthly financial statement reporting package and present to Finance senior leaders
- preparation of quarterly VAT returns and other local tax compliance
- support regional GM in budget variance and other ad hoc analysis
- maintenance and compliance with internal controls
- support planning and reconciliation of annual stock takes and review of cycle counts
Requirements
- required Qualifications
- bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or relevant field
- knowledge in IFRS / US GAAP accounting
- comfortable working with large ERPs
- ability to proactively provide solutions and recommendations for improvements
- qualified ACCA or finalist
- preferred Qualifications
- international and manufacturing experience
