SMARTSPACES GARDENS is looking for employees for positions:

Responsibility

  • run site surveys with potential prospects to advise and estimate on new builds
  • co-ordinate orders and delivery dates with suppliers for materials required to be delivered to the site
  • smartSpaces design and manufacture a prestigious range of high quality buildings in their factory in York and install across the UK. We are currently recruiting for additional, full-time, permanent, Garden Room Site Director to join our team
  • the Senior Site Manager is responsible for managing directly employed staff which will include induction, appraisal, staff briefings, training and discipline
  • as Site Director you will lead and manage the installation team and be required to oversee the install team to deliver high quality garden rooms for our growing business
  • supervise all direct labour as may be necessary and co-ordinate the activities of all the trades and disciplines involved on the site so that all operations are performed efficiently and in accordance with the construction programme and the quality and cost standards required by the Company
  • ensure that all work is kept on programme and that all details as specified in the drawings and instructions are adhered to. Precision and accuracy is vital in this connection
  • achieve targets related to cost control in connection with the use of plant, labour and materials and provide feedback as necessary to the Surveyor

Requirements

  • carpentry or Joinery Qualification
  • experience of managing a construction team
  • experience as a shop fitter, window fitter or builder
  • ability to work deadlines whilst delivering high quality at all times
  • experience of working on domestic building projects
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • prepared to travel to locations throughout the UK
  • full clean UK driving licence
