- SLX is seeking a skilled and motivated Hire Controller to join our dynamic team
- develop a comprehensive working knowledge of SLX's hire equipment inventory
- your expertise will enable us to provide cost-effective and efficient solutions to any challenges related to hire orders
- utilise alternatives from our stock, in collaboration with Project Managers, to overcome booking issues and maximise profit
- collaborate with the workshop to program repair requests, ensuring deadlines are met
- take charge of necessary sub-hires when alternatives and swaps have been exhausted

Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- demonstrated understanding and experience of industry pressures in either a hire operations or technical environment is essential for this role
- strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- excellent problem-solving abilities, with a knack for finding creative and efficient solutions
- exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, colleagues, and suppliers effectively
- A meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and order processing
