Responsibility

  • develop concept of operations for projects and operations around the world
  • lead and manage a competent and cohesive team within flight operations, including remote pilots and ground personnel
  • ensure all team members are equipped with the necessary skills, training, and resources to perform their duties effectively
  • foster a culture of safety and compliance within the team, enforcing adherence to aviation regulations, company policies, and industry best practices
  • conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support the professional growth and development of team members
  • collaborate with other teams, departments, and stakeholders to optimise resource allocation, streamline operations, and achieve shared goals
  • oversee flight planning activities, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with operational procedures and safety protocols
  • monitor real-time mission progress, making necessary adjustments to ensure mission objectives are met safely and efficiently

Requirements

  • hold a valid Remote Pilot General Visual Line of Sight Certificate
  • previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the aviation or UAS industry
  • proficient in UAS flight operations, regulations, and best practices
  • strong knowledge of emergency procedures and safety protocols
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
  • familiarity with maintenance procedures and ability to supervise maintenance activities
