Responsibility
- collate, analyse, and report on infection control data across the organisation, including third-party locations
- investigate and undertake Root Cause Analysis for variances, trends, or themes and escalate as necessary
- serve as a point of contact for clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure safe and appropriate service delivery
- support the Commercial and Central Services Teams in identifying, equipping, and furnishing new premises
- review and develop policies, procedures, and competencies to drive continuous quality improvement
- provide guidance based on evidence-based data to ensure responsive management to infection control processes during outbreaks
- offer wound care and clinical advice, working with the Consultant Microbiologist as needed
- identify opportunities for improvements in clinical and non-clinical practices, service delivery, and customer care
Requirements
- NMC registered with a minimum of 4/5 years post-registration experience
- at least two years of experience in Infection Control
- A specialist qualification in Infection Control nursing is desirable
- ability to travel to all seven locations for inspection on a bi-monthly basis
