Responsibility
- provide proactive, in-depth analysis of open-source intelligence to identify and assess potential threats and risks
- optimise the client’s research, monitoring and enforcement tools including leveraging AI and other innovative technologies

- deliver on-call threat assessments tailored to client requirements
- provide situational updates to senior management teams during incidents/crises
- collaborate with global stakeholders to collect and prioritise internal requirements; and
- provide analytical cover for other regional analysts, as required
- quickly build a thorough understanding of the client’s systems, stakeholders, and areas of exposure, while identifying relevant threats to the client’s operations or interests to prioritise information requirements
- attend industry standard events and promote Sibylline's reputation
- monitor the operating environment to collect, analyse, and disseminate intelligence relevant to the safety and security of the client’s staff, assets and operations; while leveraging internal systems, open-source resources, proprietary databases, and subscription services
- uphold Sibylline company standards, culture, and ethics within the team
- coordinate and fulfil timely and relevant delivery of intelligence and due diligence assessments that influence decision-making on security posture, policy and public relations
- actively monitor regional security incidents to determine potential impact and maintain an awareness of strategic trends throughout the region in order to update a global threat assessment scoring system
- develop and manage internal and external relationships to support risk monitoring and response in non-US markets, by working closely with private sector, governmental, academia counterparts and networks
- support the client’s risk assessment, crisis management and business continuity functions, including during any operational planning, escalations or crises
- provide strategic risk forecasting on a range of themes impacting the client, including : crime, terrorism, political stability, freedom of movement, armed conflict, infrastructure, natural disasters, health hazards, and information security risks
Requirements
- university degree in Security Studies, International Relations, Business Management, Organised Crime / Terrorism, Risk Management, or related field
- college degree in International Relations, Security Studies, War Studies, Journalism, Business Management, or a related field
- deep interest and expertise in geopolitical issues, including knowledge of global politics, security threats, criminal trends and reputational risk

- at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in strategic intelligence-focused roles in the private sector, government, military, NGOs or non-profit research organisations
- approx. 4-5 years of relevant professional experience in a private sector intelligence role , research, or other analytical positions
- ability to produce high-quality, finished intelligence products within short deadlines
- confident writer, capable of producing high-quality executive briefs, detailed reports and other documents, including presentation material to support decision-making
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A self-starter, and able to hit the ground running with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- ability to adapt communications for a range of stakeholders needing information and intelligence
- eager to learn, with an inquisitive mind and passion for creative problem-solving
- consistent level of accuracy, composure and maturity under pressure
- desire to be proactive at setting expectations, outlining project goals and managing time to meet these
- broad understanding of world affairs, as well as the ability to react quickly to changing information requirements
- ability to adaptable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, and be technically savvy with the ability to skillfully conceptualize and synthesize disparate information
- experience and strong interest in leveraging technological tools to optimise workflows; and
- able to maintain the highest levels of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality, while presenting credibility, objectivity, and respect across all parts of the business
