supply chain manager
Responsibility
- develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the organisation’s goals and objectives
- evaluate and improve existing supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction
- stay updated with industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
- build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to ensure favourable agreements for the organisation
- monitor supplier performance and conduct regular supplier assessments
- optimise inventory levels to balance between customer demands and cost-effectiveness
- implement inventory forecasting techniques to minimise stockouts and excess inventory
Requirements
- A degree in a relevant field
- 3 or more years experience in a supply chain management role
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- strong leadership and people management skills with experience of leading a team
- ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships
- ability to work on multiple projects under pressure
- ability to work independently with support, when needed
- experience using ERP systems
