Requirements
- excellent knowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards
- proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis
- experience in leading and developing finance teams
- in-depth understanding of financial management, risk analysis, and internal controls
- strong understanding of cost accounting and the financial dynamics of the freight forwarding industry
- ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders clearly and effectively
- strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior financial management role within the freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation industry
Responsibility
- provide insights and financial guidance to senior management on business performance and decision-making
- lead the budgeting process by preparing and reviewing annual budgets, in collaboration with department heads
- identify financial risks and propose actions to mitigate them
- manage and optimise cash flow, ensuring liquidity for daily operations and future investments
- ensure that the team is well-equipped with the tools and knowledge to carry out their duties effectively
- oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- develop financial forecasts and track actual performance against forecasts to ensure financial targets are met
- ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards
