professional certifications are highly preferred
Requirements
excellent knowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards
proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis
experience in leading and developing finance teams
in-depth understanding of financial management, risk analysis, and internal controls
strong understanding of cost accounting and the financial dynamics of the freight forwarding industry
ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders clearly and effectively
strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior financial management role within the freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation industry
Responsibility
provide insights and financial guidance to senior management on business performance and decision-making
lead the budgeting process by preparing and reviewing annual budgets, in collaboration with department heads
identify financial risks and propose actions to mitigate them
manage and optimise cash flow, ensuring liquidity for daily operations and future investments
ensure that the team is well-equipped with the tools and knowledge to carry out their duties effectively
oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
develop financial forecasts and track actual performance against forecasts to ensure financial targets are met
ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards
