Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Responsibility
- provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in the residential home
- create a safe, warm, and nurturing environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of all residents
- develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child's needs and aspirations
- support children and young people in their educational, recreational, and social activities
- foster positive relationships with the children, their families, and other professionals involved in their care
- manage challenging behaviors in a calm and constructive manner, using approved techniques and interventions
- ensure compliance with all safeguarding, health, and safety regulations
- maintain accurate records and documentation as required
Requirements
- previous experience in a similar role or working with children and young people in a residential setting is highly desirable
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- high level of emotional intelligence, patience, and resilience
- commitment to continuous professional development and training
- A relevant qualification in childcare, social work, or a related field is preferred
