Responsibility
- delivering the majority of holiday cottage cleans yourself
- washing laundry and ironing
- monitoring laundry levels and keep laundry orders up-to-date to ensure sufficient weekly changeover linen from our suppliers
- guiding other housekeepers in their role and checking the change overs to ensure high standards are always maintained
- implementing and updating checklists and ensure cleaning to the highest standards in all areas
- assisting recruiting new housekeepers as required
- working within an agreed budget on costs and helping to stay within budget and to deliver savings
- drawing on a team of self-employed cleaners for the busier days at our five cottages, allocating cleaning shifts to ensure full cover at all times
Requirements
- comfortable using computers
- experience of cleaning in professional settings
- ability to work unsupervised, using your own initiative and maintaining professional standards, even when under pressure
- proven ability to organise priorities
- experience, or the ability to, recruit, motivate and help lead a team
- proven communication skills, both written and verbal. Ideally, comfortable with using computers for team rotas
- flexibility
- will go the extra mile for our customers with a can-do attitude
