bookkeeper

Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • daily usage of financial processes, enhancing and updating where needed
  • management of company ledger
  • maintaining accounts, verifying and posting transactions
  • balancing accounts on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis
  • managing invoices & payments
  • liaising with tenants, landlords, suppliers, and banking contacts
  • working closely with accountants to prepare year-end accounts and VAT returns where applicable
  • preparing schedules, statements, and reports as requested

Requirements

  • degree level education ideally in accounting or finance
  • preference will be given to candidates with experience in real estate and/or fund accounting
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
  • extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
  • strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations
  • motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
