SCOTPHONE ICS is looking for employees for positions:
field engineer
Responsibility
- fault find on telephone systems and conduct repairs both remotely and at customer premises in line with our Service Level Agreements
- install, troubleshoot and repair CAT5/CAT6 structured wiring networks
- install, troubleshoot and repair 1308 telephone wiring
- install, commission and train end users on our PBX platforms. Knowledge of LG and/or Ericsson systems an advantage
- carry out site surveys for telephone systems, network and cabling requirements
- plan, design and implement voicemail, auto attendant, IVR and other associated system applications such as Call Recording, Call Management etc
- provide in-house testing of faulty components and ensure maintenance stock levels are maintained and recorded
- produce relevant reports and statistics to ensure SLAs are met
Requirements
- excellent customer-facing communication skills
- have experience in configuring telephone systems in particular LG and/or Ericsson
- fault diagnosis of PSTN / ISDN and SIP lines and liaising with Service Providers
- IT knowledge advantageous
- willingness to travel when required
- an interest in the evolving IT and Telecommunication industry
- working to a high standard with excellent customer service ethos
- pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role
