the role advertised is for a head of bar
the person will have a track record of prior experience in bartending and cocktail preparation with a high-end touch and will be able to demonstrate creativity, innovation and mixology acumen
the person is expected to work with a small team of bar staff and be an integral part of our restaurant and cocktail bar, providing their own signature on the menu and ingredient choices
wine knowledge is a must , however if the person is prepared and wants to learn we are open to work with him/her on the way to the perfection
the person will be expected to work along with our head chef to create pairings and appropriate combinations of food and drinks
it is desirable that the successful candidate will be proactive in remaining up-to-date with the latest industry trends, attending events and be part of wider professional networks
Requirements
at least 5 years of experience in a similar position
experience with pairings and combinations with food
experience with designing small, but finest bespoke cocktail menus
confidence to work with hard-to-find and every-day ingredients
be a team leader and have good coordination skills
be pro-active in updating our menu choices with seasonal ingredients
bar management: 5 years
sommelier-like knowledge of wine is a big advantage and it will reflect on the salary, however we are considering people who are keen to learn too, also experience with preparing classic, contemporary and original cocktails
