Responsibility
- leading, managing, supervising and supporting a team of staff providing residential care services to adults
- ensuring that each resident receives the care and support that is appropriate to his or her assessed individual needs
- managing the day-to-day running of the whole and to act as person in charge at all relevant times

- ensuring effective recruitment, appointment and employment of staff, in partnership with the recruitment needs of the whole
- promoting a supportive and enabling environment for residents through modelling the high standards of professional practise which are conducive to their physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual well-being
- being responsible for the monitoring and control of day-to-day expenditure within any limits prescribed by the senior management or finance team
- complying with the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 [Regulated Activities] Regulations 2014 as are applicable to the residents provided for at the home, and to support the staff team to prepare for internal and external inspections of the home as required by the Care Quality Commission [CQC]
- ensuring that the residents are, wherever possible, supported in gaining and/ or retaining responsibility for their own money and financial arrangements
- ensuring that effective induction, supervision and appraisal of staff is carried out and that the ongoing learning needs are identified and met working in partnership with our Training and Compliance Manager
Requirements
- preferable that the applicant is also a Registered Nurse
- level 5 in adult care or equivalent
- an interest in further development

- participate fully in the on-call rota for the home which includes covering staffing shortfall
- adhere to the company’s code of conduct and be a positive ambassador for Saffronland Homes at all times
- keep own learning and development up to date and attend training courses as required
- this role will require a satisfactory enhanced capital DBS check
