Responsibility
- we are authorised to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for Rolls-Royce marine gas turbines used for marine propulsion
- A vacancy has arisen within the Advanced Remanufacturing Business for a Spray Painter
- cleaning of components using mechanical degreasing equipment and manually degreasing
- the successful candidate will be based at Dyce, Aberdeen and will report to the Production Supervisor
- masking / demasking of components using various methods of masking products
- preparation of parts using blast cabinets and walk in blast unit
- the primary function of this position is the preparation, coating and refinishing of gas turbine components
- application of coatings by spray gun, brush and foam roller
Requirements
- knowledge of grit blasting, surface preparation, masking and overspray removal would be advantageous
- excellent attention to detail
- knowledge of QHS&E procedures & Risk/COSHH assessments
- self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities
- computer literacy
- excellent communication and planning skills
- ability to work well within a team environment
- ability to interpret technical drawings and understand work instruction
