Responsibility

  • cook food in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • create new menu items and specials
  • keep kitchen clean and tidy
  • prep fresh food from scratch for busy food service
  • manage food stock and make lists of needed ingredients
  • manage tasks for sous chef
  • help owner with deliveries and/or stock
  • manage kitchen rotas for chefs and kitchen porters

Requirements

  • minimum 2 years cooking experience, management experience is not necessary
  • ability to remember and consistently follow multiple complex recipes
  • a person that is organised, meticulous, and clean
  • ability to lift, move, and filter 20L oil jugs
  • ability to handle high volume efficiently
  • friendly, happy, and detail oriented personality
  • ability to work well on your own as well as part of a close knit team
  • level 2 Health and Safety certification is necessary, Level 3 is a plus
