Responsibility
- prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- ensure all food preparation is done in compliance with food safety regulations
- maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and cooking stations
- assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning
- monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service
- help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices
- participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning tasks and equipment maintenance
Requirements
- proven experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment as a cook or similar role
- strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills
- familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
- ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and helping others in the kitchen
- flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required
- culinary experience: 2 years
