- job Title Family Engagement Manager, HMP Whatton Visitor Centre
- hours 17.5 per week – to include weekend and bank/public holidays

- location Visitor Centre, HMP Whatton
- job Purpose To lead the delivery of the Visitor Centre and family engagement services at HMP Whatton
- to deliver family focussed services including structured interventions, case work and facilitating visits, both in person and online
- to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for family and friends visiting prisoners held at HMP Whatton
- to produce reports and statistics as required
Education
- A recognised level three qualification in at least one of the following E
Requirements
- work experience within a related agency, (e.g. Prison Service, E
- excellent verbal, written and communication skills E
- probation Service, relevant voluntary agency)
- ability to build and maintain rapport with families and significant E others
- extensive experience of work in a person centred environment E
- excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy E workload
- experience of managing a service and of managing staff/volunteers E
- ability to fulfil supportive role for visitors whilst meeting the needs E of the Prison Service
