Responsibility

  • maintain effective communication and liaise with the service users, families and other staff members whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality
  • prepare meals, cleaning and laundry duties
  • ensure that you have all the relevant information on the children’s backgrounds and present needs by reading all relevant documents and records and discussing them with your manager
  • ensure that the children’s primary needs are identified and met when you are on duty, this includes administrating medication prescribed by a child’s GP or consultant and to record all action taken

Requirements

  • level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care with children and young people
  • experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting
  • you are required to be fully flexible for your shifts
  • care Workers: 2 years
