- to take day to day responsibility for managing the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager
- to assist the Shop Manager with briefings for the management committee at regular agreed intervals on progress in the shop
- to propose actions for improvement in operations
- to maintain an awareness of developments in local shops, especially in the charity sector updating the Shop Manager as required
- to assist in maintaining and developing good channels of communication with local communities and organisations
- ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
