- accurate and timely registration of all supplier invoices onto the finance computer system
- dealing with all daily post and emails received into the purchase ledger department on a timely basis
- raising Head Office orders whenever requested
- adhering to applicable cut off procedures
- identify invoices/accounts which are queried or disputed causing them to be withheld from payment
- complete regular detailed supplier statement reconciliations, with follow up with the supplier and/or requisitioner as required
- monitor and report any unusual expenditure, challenging avoidable costs
- taking calls for the accounts department and answering supplier queries in a timely manner, this will include directing more technical queries to the appropriate responsible person
