- manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and expense forecasts
- weekly cashflow management
- overseeing the company's financial reporting and ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- assist with payroll management, CIT, VAT, Statutory Accounts and Audit
- leading the company's cash management and treasury operations
- managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- reporting to the Head of Finance, you will work directly alongside the UK Transactional Finance Manager and the Group Finance team based in France
- account Receivables / Credit control
- monitoring and controlling expenses and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
- purchase invoice processing / Payment runs
- developing and implementing financial policies and procedures
- prepare and present financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements, to the management team and board of directors
- collaborating with other departments to support business objectives
- leading the finance team and providing mentorship and guidance to team members
- maintaining financial controls in placce
- accruals, prepayments and journals
- supervise and mentor finance staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
- prepare consolidated capital reporting and forecasting on a monthly basis
- prepare the annual and departmental budgets
- management of the month end and compile the monthly management accounts, examining and explaining key variances against budget
- detailed understanding of all income streams, including production of in-depth analysis and management information to best equip management decision making. This includes accurate forecasting
- overall Management Accounting
- ensuring the finance system is up to date
- manage the relationship with external auditors, providing all the necessary documentation in readiness for the annual audit
- continual development of finance policies, procedures and systems to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery
- collate regular management information for reporting to senior executive and other department managers
- presenting to Board and CEO and advising on the charities financial status
- update and maintain financial information held on the company’s system and accounting software
- ensure monthly payroll is completed accurately with the support of the Finance Assistant
- oversee and manage all financial activities of the organisation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency
- develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard organisational assets
- oversee payroll process
- providing the month end close down including journal posting
- providing analysis for the preparation of year end accounts
- liaise with staff, volunteers and partners, offering clear information on budgeted spend vs actuals
- oversee the management of the asset register and ensure it’s kept up to date
- assisting with the production of annual statutory accounts and liaising with auditors
- accurate and timely submission of all relevant statutory returns required by HMRC and the charity commission
- monthly reports on income & expenditure, variance analysis etc, prepared for departmental budget holders, executive team, and the board

- A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
- at least 7 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- experience in the retail industry is preferred
- strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong attention to detail and accuracy
