Responsibility

  • act as a role model to staff and ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the children is a priority
  • manage individual children's needs, e.g. dietary requirements and ensure compliance with the procedures for dealing with children with additional needs
  • reporting directly to the Nursery Manger, the successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Baby Room
  • maintain communication within the unit and report any issues to management where relevant
  • ensure staff training is up to date
  • to monitor each child's progress and record data and plan accordingly
  • to co-ordinate and manage staffing levels to ensure ratios are met at all times and that staff are deployed correctly taking into account experience and qualifications
  • to organise rotas to ensure cleaning duties are carried out
