Responsibility
- obtaining and compare material quotations
- negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing
- monitoring of price increases
- ensure materials are delivered to sites in line with site program and specification and are purchased at competitive prices
- collaborate with the construction director and site engineer to ensure timely delivery of material orders required
- maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory levels
- assist the site teams in chasing deliveries, keeping build and site managers informed of any delays
- assist in the collation of documentation and issuing of material tender enquires for new sites/phases
Requirements
- strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships
- demonstrate good IT Skills
- excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- knowledge of supply chain management principles
- attention to detail and organisational skills
