Responsibility
- right Trak are looking for dedicated staff to join our Residential Children’s Home in Ashington, Northumberland
- we are looking for caring and passionate individuals to join our team of Residential Childcare Workers
- we offer an incentivised funding scheme which will allow you to gain the relevant qualification necessary for the role
- to provide day to day care for the young people in our care
- the company encourages career growth and continual professional development which can include progression to Senior and Management roles
- to keep young people safe and be committed to safeguarding
- to act as a parental figure and / or positive adult role model to help demonstrate healthy adult functioning
- to be involved in all aspects of daily care and support for the young people
Requirements
- understanding of child development, therapeutic parenting, the needs of children and a commitment to supporting young people is essential
- residential care experience is desirable but we are also interested in transferrable skills and life experience
- be able to follow all organisation policies
- understanding of child development, parenting, the needs of children and a commitment to supporting young people is essential
- you will be working as part of a team of Residential Childcare Workers so good communication, flexibility and teamwork is essential
- to work with and maintain a high level of supervision with all young people
- possess diverse skills and be able to empathise with children with complex needs and manage a range of challenging behaviours
- to communicate with other relevant bodies and agencies i.e. education establishments, social workers etc. on a regular basis
