communications officer

Responsibility
- be flexible to the needs of a fast growing charity environment, taking on other responsibilities where appropriate
- maintain a strong external communications profile via the media, social media and website
- support communication asset auditing
- deliver excellent communications with our donors and stakeholders through the provision of regular communications materials and arranging external events
- support internal teams on the design and production of key external marketing tools including the Annual Report, Discovery reports and slide decks
Requirements
- experience of working within a communications or marketing role
- excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with an ability to interpret varied information and adapt messages for different audiences
- experience of editing and uploading website content
- strong understanding of social media and how to use this to engage support
- experience of managing external supplier relationships
- strong project planning and time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
- experience in developing and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders
- strong interpersonal skills
