- take ownership of payroll, monthly VAT submission, R&D claims, submission of annual accounts and tax returns to Companies House/HMRC
- improve and automate core finance processes and reporting
- support our ERP system with a strong understanding of stock and stock control
- act as a partner to the wider business, providing financial insights and challenge where needed
- strong financial reporting and month-end close expertise
- experience working in FMCG / manufacturing businesses
- cash flow forecasting and working capital management
- previous exposure to scaling finance systems during business growth
- confident in ERP systems and comfortable improving system processes
- experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
- knowledge of R&D tax relief, EMI schemes or other HMRC processes
- clear and confident communicator – able to explain finance to non-finance teams
