Requirements
- 12 hours paediatric first aid
- level 2 or 3 and above in childcare
- food Hygiene or equivalent training and compliance in food management
- relevant safeguarding/child protection training undertaken and a willingness to update training regularly
- DBS on the update service
- work experience within the Early Years Sector
- knowledge of Local Authority and Regulatory requirements and inspection processes across the UK
- current 12hrs paediatric First Aid Certificate
Responsibility
- promote and follow guidelines implemented for managing behaviour including and supporting children to manage their own feelings
- arriving early to your shift to show commitment
- demonstrate a clear understanding of efficient staff deployment and child supervision in line policies and procedures and with regulatory standards
- demonstrate effective written and verbal communication parent’s professionals and colleagues
- ensure Keeping Everyone Safe policies and procedures and continuously and demonstrate behaviours that underpin a high performing safety culture
- understand the referral processes when necessary to engage with professionals to support a child referral
- you have the responsibility to ensure the children you care for are fully supervised and remain safe and well and you lead by example and drive the culture of Safeguarding Children
- deliver the highest care and education standards and ensure secure knowledge and understanding of Policies and Procedures and child development and knowledge of EYFS
