Responsibility
- work hands on to produce high quality parts
- maintain good manufacturing practices
- managing works orders to ensure that work is completed to required schedules
- ensure that production documentation and instructions are correctly recorded and kept up to date
- manage stock levels and procurement of tooling and materials – using MRP software
- ensure the workshop is maintained to a high standard
Requirements
- previous experience operating CNC mills and lathes is essential
- experience programming CNC turning and milling
- good understanding of quality control practices and procedures
- confident in interpreting and understanding technical and 2D drawings
- confident in using fine measuring tools such as micrometers, Vernier etc
- good IT Skills
- familiar with practices promoting health and safety
- experience in working to deadlines and adhering to all systems
