- knowledge of the Bale Baron system would be an advantage, but not essential
- and they will have a willingness to help out wherever needed, including with the animals on the farm
- ideally, they will have experience using all types of balers, but the ability to use a conventional baler is a must as this is a large part of the role
- the applicant will be capable and willing to be involved in all aspects of contracting and the running of a 500-acre farm, including hay making, carting corn and silage, hedge cutting, repairing and maintaining machinery, fences, water pipes etc
