Responsibility

  • the successful incumbent will have overall responsibility for all operational matters, call on support from our internal and parent company resources
  • have accountability for the process outputs ensuring an acceptable level of process capability to allow the business case to be achieved
  • this is a hands-on role with overall accountability and responsibility for our active carbon sequestering sites. Initially, this will initially be focused on our Wooten-Basset site which at full capacity will produce 10k-12k of biochar per annum
  • support as required the development of environmental protection, renewable energy generation and environmental permit compliance procedures
  • this role would suit an operational leader looking to take their experience and have a real and direct positive impact on the climate
  • the site will be operationally net-negative from carbon dioxide perspective, one of only a handful in Europe and one of the largest of its type
  • working collaboratively with the delivery team, ensuring that the delivered site is capable to operate at the desired levels of output and achieve the required quality characteristics of the biochar
  • they will also support the AHE team in building out investment cases for future sites/operations inputting in the operational requirements and assumptions to support future investments
