July 23 works logged for full bedroom decorate and new kitchen cupboard, tiles and complete paint of kitchen. Work to start September 2023 so booked the four days off so allow workmen in. Day one purdy rang at approximately 9.30 to say they haven't got tiles and no contractor to do work so they cancelled until December. A contractor came 2 days later to paint bedroom and kitchen. Job done very badly with parts not painted and parts where the paint ran over borders and some pained on ceiling, paint on walldrobes and curtain poll also on fridge. Another contractor had to come back a few weeks later to redecorate the whole of bedroom and kitchen. December 2023. Contractor came looked at kitchen removed old tiles and said he would be back in few days to lay the tiles. Tiles supposed to be gray, but he came back three days later with beige tiles. Contractor started work then told me he hasn't got enough tiles so has to come back on wednesday. He said call purdy and book him for afternoon. When he left I went in kitchen to wash some cups and water started to flood from under sink. When I looked contractor had taken off piping from sink and didn't replace it so kitchen flooded. Later I tried to use washing machine when turned it on again water came gushing out of side of washing machine so kitchen flooded again. I rang purdy and was told earliest is 22nd December, to do tiles and put right the plumbing. bearing in mind I've had to move everything out of kitchen AGAIN, and my dishwasher has been left in passage.i rang them back and was told they can get someone to me today wednesday 13th December. I work far away and couldn't take another day off, so they said they will put me down for last call of the day. I rushed home arrived at 3.30. I rang ourdy just to make sue someone will attend they said yes you are last of day, and that can be up to 6pm. I rang at 6pm emergency number just to see if i was on the list. They said nothing listed for me. Time now 7.30 no one has attended. I am totally fed up with purdy. They do this all the time. I spoke to Wandsworth council about them and they said they always get complaints about them. Also I wanted to write a review, but noticed that all the reviews are manned and uploaded by purdy so no negative reviews. Totally dissatisfied. A month ago I spoke to (deleted by the administrator), the head contractor at purdy and his words to me was "you won't gat any compensation from us. We don't compensate fir you taking time off".
I have no words for what you are describing... it is obvious that no one will give the money back voluntarily, but it should be reported somewhere, especially defects they left. What stage is the case at now? Did someone come to fix it?
No still waiting. Been on phone with the. Today. They say someone is coming tomorrow but I don't hold out.
There is PLATINUM FACILITIES & MAINTENANCE SERVICES around the corner, is it similar in terms of objectives to PURDY CONTRACTS or not? What is the difference?
