Responsibility
- we're looking for an experienced chef to join our team as BAKERY KITCHEN MANAGER based at our Sherwood Shop
- supporting the executive chef with menu development, appraisals, training, food GP, labour GP, hygiene of the prep kitchen, stock taking
- managing all areas of the kitchen
- dealing with enquiries including admin using booking software, emails and meeting customers face to face for wedding taster meetings
- organising and maintaining stock and storage areas
- making sure new and current employees are trained to The Pudding Pantry standards and follow recipe and menu specs
- managing a small team of bakers, including creating rota's and ensuring training is completed and maintained
- baking sweet and savoury food for sale in the shop, wholesale orders and celebration cakes
Requirements
- 3 years kitchen experience - essential
- excellence in hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- computer knowledge
- great organisation and responsibility for bookings
- ability to multi-task and remain calm in a highly demanding, and at times stressful environment
- excellent communication skills
- professional baking: 3 years
