Responsibility

  • you have a duty to follow and adhere to the Company’s policies and procedures
  • you will be responsible and accountable for your actions
  • you will keep the Care Manager and your immediate supervisor informed of any changes or concerns as they arise
  • supporting the service users with dressing and undressing where appropriate
  • you will meet the expectations of the individual service, following routines and usual daily activities that provide a supportive team approach to ensuring that the service users receive a high level of care and support towards their identified goal
  • you will follow the service users individual care plans, participating in assessments, reviews and document writing as identified and the completion of monitoring tools
  • the tasks will vary depending on the individual service users’ needs which will be assessed and detailed in their individual care plan. The Support worker should report to the shift supervisor for delegation of duties
  • cooking meals and supporting service users to make their own meals, supporting service users to eat and drink at regular times following a healthy diet or prescribed meal plan, this may include help with feeding
