- assist in the implementation of a robust, fit-for-purpose quality management system that will satisfy the increasing complexity of our customer base
- assess new and existing manufacturing processes and workflows, including participation in HAZOPs, hazardous area assessments, and the production and updating of P&IDs
- lead the shipping/distribution of manufactured products, ensuring compliance to all export and transport regulations
- lead the safe installation and operation of new CAPEX equipment, ranging from R&D to manufacturing scale, including the identification and implementation of required ancillary services
- provide EHS leadership and consultation to the R&D team, including the design and implementation of best working practices for new and existing processes (e.g
- co-ordinate the maintenance and inspections of various manufacturing equipment and parts
- ‘Hands-on’ mechanical work, including working with high-pressure and/or temperature tubing and fittings
- respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies
- assist in documenting root causes of asset utilisation losses in the facility
- ensure compliance with all relevant operating laws and regulations, particularly with respect to environmental, health and safety of production processes and equipment
- aid the diagnosis and optimisation of plant raw material efficiency, which may include yield or waste generation
Requirements
- degree-level qualification or higher in chemical engineering or equivalent
- minimum 3 years of industrial experience in a medium to high volume chemical manufacturer
- experience with regulatory procedures associated with REACH and dangerous goods shipping would be an advantage
