Requirements
- experience as a Lead Structural Engineer
- experience as a lead structural engineer on projects
- experience as a structural engineer
- able to demonstrate a working knowledge of current codes of practice
- able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of current codes of practice
- A broad range of engineering skills
- experience of Light gauge steel design is preferred but not essential as full on the job training will be provided
- comfortable undertaking calculations by hand and using spreadsheets
Responsibility
- adherence to the Integrated Management System
- undertaking concept designs and planning at the concept stage on a wide variety of buildings
- undertaking concept designs and planning projects at concept stage on a wide variety of buildings
- budgetary and programme control of the structural teams work on individual projects
- delivering excellent project work within agreed deadlines and budget
- delivering excellent project work within agreed deadlines including establishing client briefs, appropriate fees, and commercial management through to completion
- interact and cultivate relations with clients and other project members
- monitoring site works to establish that it is being carried out in accordance with specifications and methods statements
