Responsibility
- architect fire suppression and detection system topology using internal financial modelling tool to select best solutions for the business
- management of external fire suppression and detection engineer contractors
- drive project level tasks and milestones assigned by the project management team

- visit job sites for field investigations and coordination meetings
- provide oversight and review of project plans, equipment and system submittals
- additional duties as assigned from time to time by management
- attend project design team meetings and interface with various team members
- support Sales during tours, RFP response, both standard and bespoke solutions, and customer meetings
- partner up with the Human Resources in the recruitment of appropriate skilled individuals contractors to deliver the product required
- review, comment and process project plans and actively participate at various gating approvals
- identifying process improvement opportunities and delivering solutions that aid in the digitalization of the facility

- extensive Fabrication and Welding knowledge - preferably working with stainless steel
- clearly understand work scope and key deliverables
- responsibility for development, maintenance and monitoring of technical documents relevant to scope of work
- must be able to work to tight deadlines
- experience as a Cost Engineer within a Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Rail, Engineering, Manufacturing, EPC, Engineering Consultancy etc
- experience using Navisworks
- bachelor of Science in Fire Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college
- work alongside construction team to develop methodology and sequences
- fully conversant in all aspects of Earned Value Analysis
- experience in fire suppression & detection systems design and construction required
- good knowledge of current Temporary Works legislations
- good understanding of project management principles and processes
- data Centre and/or mission critical experience preferred
- ability to read and interpret p6 plans and extract key information, dates and milestones
- HNC / HND / Degree in relevant subject and/or Qualified by Experience
- accredited engineering credentials preferred
- must be comfortable working as part of wider project team, as well as alone
- basic understanding of all project controls
- proficient knowledge of all building fire codes and ordinances
- ability to create visual sequences extracted from Navisworks models to accompany RAMS
- good data manipulation & reporting skills
- working knowledge of MEP systems infrastructure within a data centre preferred
- previous experience as a Project Controls Engineer / Cost Engineer / Project Accountant / Cost Controller / Cost Estimator or Quantity Surveyor
- good IT skills , numerical, analytical and organisational skills
- national and international travel required is expected to be 20 to 25%, but may increase over time as the business evolves
