Responsibility
- to effectively plan all vehicle routes,maximising capacity and revenue per load
- produce and issue all relevant information for vehicle routes
- to monitor on time deliveries and make sure customer deliver points are made aware of delays
- ensuring any waiting time charges are captured and effectively communicated to the customer
- to ensure any order amendments/ special deliveries/collections are captured and communicated where necessary
- ensuring all deliveries are planned to customer requirements and achieved to agreed service levels
- ensuring all information is updated onto the system in a timely and accurate manner
- to effectively communicate to every driver their daily load plan to ensure they are fully aware of what is expected from them and if there are any special instructions/requirements
Requirements
- experience of managing own workload within a pressurised environment
- A sound understanding of vehicle planning within a transport environment or similar
- demonstrable capability of dealing with conflicting priorities
- able to work to challenging deadlines in a pressurised environment
- sound geographical knowledge
- strong written and verbal communication skills that have been used to support a customer focused operation
- excellent planning and organisational skills
- basic understanding of driver’s hours regulations/Tachograph law
