Responsibility
- applicants with experience of promoting independence, choice and social inclusion are preferred but training will be provided
- carry out and the implementation of care plans
- supporting the Team Leader in their role
- complete Supervisions with allocated staff
- review Care Plans, Risk Assessments and Guidelines
- we are searching for a dedicated Senior Support Worker to support two individuals with a learning disability and autism on a daily basis within a supported living setting
- support clients with daily activities, i.e. cooking, homework and possibly personal care
- you will support the individuals to carry out their daily activities identified in their care plan such as; accessing the community, cooking, cleaning and possibly personal care while promoting independence
Requirements
- previous experience as a support worker within a care environment essential
- qualified to level 2 minimum health and social care
- able to work a shift pattern on a rolling rota
- commitment to the role and service
- professionalism
- flexibility with working hours
- excellent communication skills
- experience of challenging behaviour essential
