Requirements
- previous experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting as a qualified technician
- excellent written/oral communication skills
- previous experience working in a hospital outpatients pharmacy
- able to work in a commercial environment while maintaining safe standards
- good management skills
- experience of managing people and/or services
- ability to deal with difficult and sensitive issues in a supportive and professional manner to effect positive outcomes
- able to influence other healthcare professionals
Responsibility
- record and deal appropriately with customer complaints and escalate complaints appropriately to the operational manager
- record and investigate dispensing errors and near misses and take appropriate action to minimise further risk or incidents
- ensure the appropriate ordering and receipt of medication from suppliers is carried out in accordance to local procedures
- act as team leader for relevant area of responsibility escalating issues to the Operational Manager where relevant To keep up to date with relevant clinical and professional knowledge, contribute and participate in education and training events for pharmacy staff
- ensure correct payment charges /exemptions are applied and charged for in line with local and national guidance
- ensure medication is delivered to patients in a safe & timely manner in line with Pride Pharmacy procedure
- adhere to Pride Pharmacy security procedures
