PREMIER UNDERWRITING is looking for employees for positions:

Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Requirements

  • GCSE or equivalent education is essential
  • working towards an insurance qualification is desirable but not essential
  • you will be a team player who can contribute good ideas
  • you will be tenacious and organised, to ensure you complete tasks thoroughly
  • ability to build relationships with third parties to achieve company objectives as well as strong in-house relationships is essential
  • good verbal and written skills along with good attention to detail is essential
  • motor Insurance experience will be beneficial but not essential as full on the job training will be given
  • you will ideally have at least one years’ experience in an FCA regulated insurance or financial services environment but at the very least have a good understanding of basic insurance practices

Responsibility

  • the team liaise with intermediaries and have autonomy , for their own decision making
  • policy cancellation, voidance, additional premiums, or satisfactory explanations received regarding the discrepancies
  • the Counter Fraud and Underwriting team are responsible for ensuring that risks are desirable and acceptable to Premier and to ensure that fraud cases are removed from cover
  • where necessary, you will carry out your own investigation to establish whether a claim is valid or not
  • you will liaise with our intermediaries where they may have queries with regards to rates and acceptance rules
  • you will investigate and verify risk information disclosed by policyholders using our counter fraud systems and refer any discrepancies revealed to our intermediaries
  • you will also look to identify cases of fraud using information shared with us from organisations such as the Insurance Fraud Bureau or Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department
  • you will make your own underwriting decisions , to resolve these queries
