to have overall responsibility for managing referrals into the service from a variety of sources and maintaining full occupancy

to ensure that safe working practices are always employed by all staff in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work legislation
to be involved in recruitment of staff including vetting, interviewing, and inducting new employees
to actively co-ordinate the service provision and be a focal point for support, advice, and coaching to all staff within the home
Requirements
at least two years’ experience relevant to residential care within the last five years
at least one year of experience supervising and managing professional staff
qualifications are essential, i.e., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, Children & Young People’s Services, or equivalent. Or a willingness to undertake training within 6 months of commencement of employment
sound knowledge and understanding of Children Homes regulation including Quality Standards 2015, The Children’s Homes Regulations 2011, Care Standards Act 2000, Ofsted and related legislation, and policies and procedures

to act as Keyworker for specific children, being the key point of contact for children, families, and other multi-disciplinary agencies
working as part of the team around the child
to foster positive relationships, encouraging strong bonds between children and staff in the home
to understand the needs of each individual child and be involved in planning, leading and arranging activities around those needs
to ensure that the children in your care are loved, happy, healthy, safe from harm and able to develop, thrive and fulfil their potential; you will act as a positive role model for them and provide a caring, supportive and nurturing environment
overseeing all aspects of their support plan including attending reviews and relevant health appointments, acting as an advocate for that child in meetings as appropriate. Working as part of the team around the child
to contribute to and follow individual care plans, this includes participating in all aspects of Team Teach and Team Teach training, including physical interventions
to follow all correct local and national policies and procedures including maintaining a working knowledge of the home, reporting and responding to safeguarding concerns, complying with health and safety and checking and administering medication
